Morgan,

Thank you very much for the time you have taken to help me with this issue. Your example was a great help and it did work.

I also discovered if I simply change the MODIFIER property in the controls on the base form from “Friend”, the default, to “Protected” that the controls on the derived form are fully editable in their properties window, except for the control name.

I guess that I need to study all of the controls default properties a little more.
