>Hi Morgan. You are incorrect in your assumptions, and Hector is completely correct. The focus for Visual Basic is going to be more on productivity over C#. There will not be more resources put on C# over VB, it is just the opposite. More is described about this in the Visual Studio roadmap at http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/productinfo/roadmap.aspx related to Whidbey (next version of VS).

Why would it be the opposite? Why did you create C# then?

What was the incentive? Only to get Java crowd to jump ship and come to .Net world because of C#?

Somebody from MS should be clear on this issue. Where should we put our efforts? VB.Net or C#? Please don't say both. This would be the (too) easy answer. I know that if I learn every programming languages on the planet I'll be able to face every situation that comes my way. But The problem is that cloning is not an option at this time and I'm still limited to a 24 hours a day schedule.

Don't you feel that the editors should be the same either for C# or VB.Net. If not then you don't really give us the choice of the programming language that we're going to use. For sure it'll be the editor that give us the more bang for our money.

So do we really have to choose a programming language based on the editor and not on what a programming language has to offer us?

If that is the case where would I be able to find a site on MS portal so that I can compare the editors and take the decision on the editor that I want to use (and sadly not based on the programming language that I want to use)?
