Scott,

This sounds like a timing issue. If you're still changing the record pointer, make sure that those 2 framework methods are called after all the default code in your cListObjEdit's Add button.Click()

If that doesn't solve the problem, I'd suggest stepping through the Add button's Click(), paying close attention to what happens after DoForm(). This is where the highlight bar should be set...
