After a while, I decided to "back out" and after closing everything, decided to reset the directories to the default directories under "program files". I renamed the old default directories where I had mybaseclasses to prevent VFP from latching on to them. Then the error started to appear when starting a new project. I uninstalled and re-installed everything... and the error is still there.

Well, I went back an checked the file locations settings under the tools options menu, I found that the file locations were (for bulk of the settings including the Wizard file) set to work with VFP7. Aha! And this happened all by itself upon reinstallation, I guess.
Problem solved, back to normal. Sorry Cindy about that message crying for help. <g>
Best regards.
