Why not? With the improvements in the XML to Cursor and back transformation that VFP 8 has made in addition to the processor power increases that Intel/AMD have made, it works.

It also makes it more flexible in that I can have processes taking place on remote PCs. COM can not be tranferred over the LAN/WAN. XML can.
