Bonnie,
I too hate the EDIT button that’s why I want to avoid using it. I need to know when a form needs to go into an edit mode so I can enable and disable data manipulation buttons.(Add, Delete, Close and navigational buttons.) To do this without an EDIT button, I must trap some event triggered by the user making interactive changes to data. Do you know of this technique being used?
Do you use data manipulation buttons on windows forms and if so how to you enable/disable them at the appropriate time?
Regards,
Terry Carroll
