Have you tried different printer drivers then? That would be a good test for your marketing rep that can reproduce the problem. What happens if he/she only previews the report?
Also, do the array elements exist with appropriate values? Are empty character array elements '' for instance and not logical? In other words, are any array elements possibly logical (because no value is stored in them) instead of say a numeric report field expecting a 0 (zero) for no value? Just verifying...
