Yes, anyone should be successful using either language. In short, there may be cases where it takes more lines of code in C# to do the same thing in VB, or that VB has a IDE tool to do things for the developer. C# has lower level control like C++, so there are trade offs. In general, you can do the same things with both languages, but it is how or what is involved that may differ.
