Thanks for the heads up, though with the straight zero in there I still get the error.

I am at my wit's end...time to build an executable and try it on someone else's machine. Maybe something is awry with my Word or with my ODBC drivers...

Any other ideas on what could cause an exception to be thrown on a Close() call?
