I have users open serveral of my FP26 apps at one time and have no problem, but the disclaimer is that I developed my apps to be multi-user. I knew in advance that my apps would be used this way so I programmed for it. I ensured that tables were not taken exclusive unless certain conditions are met, I ensured that temporary files/cursors/tables have unique names and are placed in read/write areas. If the programmer thought ahead than you can do this.

The risks involved may be if you user has little memory than the apps would continually take more and more untill the PC becomes to slow to work.

That is my insight, but it really depends on how the app was programmed.
