It has to be done in 3 steps.

First you have to convert it from VPM 6.0b to VPME 7.0 using the instructions in: http://www.promatrix.com/vpmdocs/VPM%2060b_%20VPME%2070%20Update.zip

The next step is to update it to VPME7.0a, using the instructions in: http://www.promatrix.com/vpmdocs/vpme70aud.zip

The next step is to update it to VPME8, using the instructions in: http://www.promatrix.com/vpmdocs/vpme80ugd.zip

I can recommend the ProMatrix newsgroups, in the UserLibrary Edhy Rijo did upload some prg's to automate the last 2 steps.
