Unfortunately the size of the list box is predetermined and not updated in this event. Seems to be a "minor" bug. The workaround for me is to add a few dummy entries to the original list. Is there a better way?

Are you talking about the number of items displayed in the list portion of the control? If so, check out the control's DisplayCount property.
