Sorry for jumping in.
I have experienced diffuculty of using local view to update records in my item promotion maintenance. This maintenance allows user to key in any items that offered discount within a given period.
The number of items in any promotion would usually exceed 200. VFP takes 10-15 seconds to save it to table. My clients always complaint about it. At the end, I got to use underlying table instead of local view. And VFP only takes 2 seconds to save it.
Do you have any workaround?
