Yeah, I think it's easier and more consistent to do it in code. We've added a DataBind() method to most of our base class controls that takes care of all that. So, all our stuff is consistent.

OK, call me geeky, but I can't stand to use wizards!! I suppose they make life easier to some degree, but IMHO they never do things the way I want to do them.
