I've already replied, but there was one more thing I wanted to comment on...
>About time, however, the end result will probably not be good. History shows us that while unions have improved working conditions for employees, employers tended to only allow unions into their corporations under force of some type.
SNIP
I agree that employers had to have unions force-fed into their businesses. No self-respecting owner/boss wants to have to deal with a union.
You say "...the end result will probably not be good. History...". Right now the end result is definitely NOT GOOD for a worker under the status quo - NO JOB!!!
Since the demise of Communism the corporation has been relentlessly diminishing the value of loyalty and (company) knowledge and pension funds and anything else that used to be considered essential for smart business. Presently a worker works well beyond 8 hours a day or loses their job. Soon (if not already) there will be a bill passed in the U.S. that makes this overtime non-payable legally.
At least a union would offer some hope, and maybe more importantly it might be a first step to re-taking control of more and more so that government once again is "for the people". Right now government is anything but!
cheers
