Larry,

>WRT to lack of VFP 8 articles, I don't know what the timeframe for KB article turn around is. Maybe Garrett could weigh in on this. VFP 8 didn't fix everything so any active BUG/PRB in VFP 7 not listed in MSKB#818179 or MSKB#818175 or MSKB#818178 may be assumed to be still active. If you have VFP8 SP1 installed, then you need to also factor the fixes listed in the SP1ReadMe.

You're missing the point. Starting with VFP7 MS doesn't release any information about known bugs and workarounds until they get fixed. They know about them because they deside not to fix them for whatever reasons but they don't share this info with VFP developers. I believe it's wrong because it causes VFP developers to uncover those bugs again and again and waste there time in the process.

>Because the information of what has changed from version to version is static. Bug information and work around information is dynamic. If you read what's on your hard drive about a particular problem and there was no work around, you would think to yourself that you had to deal with it yourself. However, if someone else came up with a work around, whether it be someone at MS or another developer, that information could be on the web site. If you didn't go there, you'd never know. Since you have to go there anyway, why not start out there.

Good point but there's nothing to be found in MS KB either.
