Whereas I think the main purpose of this forum is to stretch vfp as far as it will go. vfp has multithreading, and great web capabilities now, but, do you hear Ken talking about that anymore - no, he'd like you to believe you need VS.NEt to do any of this.

There was not some strategic reason for changing my title. There was a re-organization at Microsoft in our division and the visual database tools group and the VFP team is all in one group under Alan Griver called the VS Data group, and I'm the product manager for that group so that is my title. If and when I mention VS .NET, I do so in context of how it works great as an additional tool for VFP applications such as ASP.NET web solutions for VFP apps and data.

About every large size company I talk to that has one or more VFP apps in their line of business is adding ASP.NET web front ends to their VFP apps using VS .NET. The tools work well together, it is a good thing. I basically recommend to people that they use whatever tool(s) they need. I don't think I've posted a message here promoting VS .NET in over 6 months, they are mostly VFP related unless I'm responding to something specific off-topic in an existing thread.
