The tools work well together, it is a good thing. I basically recommend to people that they use whatever tool(s) they need. I don't think I've posted a message here promoting VS .NET in over 6 months, they are mostly VFP related unless I'm responding to something specific off-topic in an existing thread.

I cannot give the message numbers but I feel that you have spoken well about VFP and explained what the Microsoft strategy is for the next few years. Unfortunately, some people do not want to hear anything that reflects reality and are unwilling to accept change.

I do appreciate your comments and find them very important for understanding where VFP and .NET fit into the scheme of things for developers and clients.

Some people seem to be upset that you tell the truth. That might be due to their passion for VFP but being emotional to the point of not accepting what is occurring in your profession is a dangerous thing.

At age 61 just two lessons I have understood well are to be ready for and to accept change. You are not going to hold back the oceans tides with your hands, regardless of your passion! If you want to you can use the tides to help propel you in the direction you wish to travel.
