I think VFP p-code have a limitless space of optimization.
VFP is single command optimized, but it does not have nearly some multicommands optimization.

This is much bond in a development env, but not in phase of final production of the exe.
It would have to implement a compile optimization of code when it comes created the exe.

Obviously this would demand one extension (and greater possibilities of bugs) of the interpreter runtime.
