Where do you get THOSE? - It is interesting to watch the recent developments in Linux (and open-source in general): Germany switching more and more to Linux, Israel doesn't want to upgrade to the latest versions of Microsoft (concerns about monopoly stuff, IIRC), Viet Nam wants to switch completely to open-source. And the European Union publishes a 180-page PDF document, outlining, in wealth of details, how to make the transition to open-source (and help you calculate whether it is worth-while to do so, or not). All this, just in the last few weeks or so.

Makes me worry about my status as a VFP programmer <g>. Obviously it is high time I start to learn something else.

Right now, my main job is teaching computer networks - this is more or less independent of individual technology providers. I also teach a UNIX & Linux course, but there is still not much interest over here.
Difference in opinions hath cost many millions of lives: for instance, whether flesh be bread, or bread be flesh; whether whistling be a vice or a virtue; whether it be better to kiss a post, or throw it into the fire... (from Gulliver's Travels)
