Very well said Gary!

JVP has gone from Dr FoxPro to Joe Bob to exile and back. His current purpose is to bash anyone that is "foolish" enough to still use VFP. I really think the guy just loves to debate and irratate - the school room bully that never grew up.

John is a very smart guy but I can't understand all the negativity. If you don't like VFP why not move on to .NET and help others there?

>Irrespective of the rights and wrongs of your discussion with Craig, his view and frustration at the way you just dive in to a thread in an apparent attempt to merely practice your debating skills is certainly justified in my opinion. Whilst its a fact you have "toned down" your responses of late, your participation in this forum (a pro-VFP board) is, towards the product, negative by stealth. You rarely appear to offer any assistance to people who merely seek help with their VFP challenges.
>
>When people post a message here, its generally based on past experience and can be somewhat anecdotal. However, it is a fair bet that there will be a version of VFP beyond Europa and Craig did no-one any disservice by stating his belief. Any reasonable reader knows this is basically a reasonable opinion held by the poster of the message (Craig, on this occasion) and does not feel the need to challenge everything that is not backed up by incontrovertible facts. Its a pro-VFP board, not a court room.

>John, you have made more comebacks here than Frank Sinatra. You just can't help yourself and you can't keep away. Why would you want to be here given your apparent negativity towards VFP? Even in your most recent exile from the UT, you have participated in the Compuserve Fox forums, the ProFox mailing list, the WWWC board and other Fox oriented places. Why do this given your attitude towards Fox? Why would you want to start posting here again? Are you on a one-man crusade to bring down the Fox market and undermine the confidence of your average Fox developer or potential customer of a Fox developer who has been directed to the UT to witness the enthusiam for and from within the Fox market?

>You seem, at least to me, to be like a goldfish swimming on the outside of the bowl, longing to be back on the inside where you used to be a prominent, big goldfish. Instead, you tout the demise and decline of the Fox market. You attack the current community Gurus for stating their opinions. You contribute in threads to seemingly propagate arguments where for most, there are none to be found.
>
>I don't know who or where I got this advice from but it goes along the lines of "if you only have something negative to say, then don't say it at all". If you have nothing good to say about Fox on a pro-Fox board, then perhaps its time to "call it a draw" and move on wholeheartedly to the new pastures you have perpetually espoused to poor, confused Fox developers who, if you were to be believed, need to be saved from themselves.
