If the code is not being called, then it's most likely that your form instance isn't derived from the class you think it is. It's also possible that you are executing a different form that is being found on the path ahead of the one you want.

No rocket science here, but the overwritten method is never called. Instead I get a no parameter statement found error as the parent method is run.
