>>Finally, I seem to recall Craig jumping all over Claude I think - when it came to whether VFP was multi-threaded. I recall Craig going off on the whole "technically correct" crusade. Are you you saying that it is OK for Craig and not OK for others to do that?<<

There is a big difference between technical accuracy and speculation. What happens after the next version of VFP is speculation, because MS says it will not discuss plans beyond the next version.

CB is just as qualified to speculate as you. He stated what we all know must be his belief/speculation that there will be new versions before Longhorn.

Then it went bad. You asked for proof of what you knew to be speculation. You yourself speculate regularly and freely without evidence, which is the nature of speculation; yet you demand a standard of "proof" from others that you could not possibly achieve yourself.

That is a transparent and hostile tactic of disruption. It creates victims- in this case CB over whom you clearly document that you think you have scored a victory.

You are not the only person here who can mount a disruptive challenge, but most people would regard it as disrespectful to come to a forum dedicated to helping others, to disrupt and distract for no obvious purpose. Correct me if I am wrong, but I am told that a dab of honey is more likely to attract the bees than a can of fly spray. If you think your viewpoint prevails because you beat others down... well, just read the various responses and figure it out.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
