Title:
Not Enough Memory For File Map
I'm getting the Not Enough Memory For File Map error. Some details:
<
>It's happening on only one machine - a Win2000 server with 1 GB RAM and 80GB free HD space (a RAID if that makes a difference).
<>It happens with one particularly large view which pulls hundreds of MB of data, joining several tables. One table is hundreds of MB, the other tables range in size from a few records to a few MB. There is a subquery against a table which currently has a few thousand records.
<>When I watch resource usage in the Task Manager, there is plenty of available CPU and RAM on this machine before the bug hits.
I have only witnessed this phenomenon on this one machine. The issue does not occur on two test machines in our office (both WinXP, but with less RAM and HD space).
I would appreicate any thoughts on how to resolve this, including work-arounds.
A few limitations I am faced with:
- I have only remote access to this machine.
- Rebooting is a limited option (i.e. if someone has thoughts on how to adjust sys(3050) which might require a reboot). I can probably reboot a few times, but because of the interruption it will cause my client, I hope to keep it to a minimum.
- The machine has VFP 7 installed for maintenance purposes, but the app is compiled and runs in VFP 8. If required, I could probably get them to upgrade to VFP 8.
Thank you in advance for ANY thoughts you may have.
