I am trying to create the headersource file to give the users the ability to modify the word document. By having this headersource file available the users will be able to select which merge fields appear in the document. The headersource is to serve as a merge field list only.

I am taking this approach to avoid using ODBC. This way all of the data which will be in a word document similar to the headersource document attached to the word template. If I am reading the book correctly this is the preferred method?
