Hi Thomas,

I just came back from PDC and I was asked while I was there to meet and discuss with the students, who were there from many different universities, ways that they can make a difference about the acceptance of .NET in their schools. The students were very enthusiatic and stating how the number of classes offered teaching the .NET Framework is on the rise. Microsoft is very committed to educating the students in college to better prepare them for graduation. One example of this is that I have been asked by Microsoft to speak at different universities when I travel around the country doing consulting and training for clients of mine or speaking at conferences, to help provide real-world experience for the students.

>>>Within the next few days we are going to be making a company decision as to which language to use. Can anyone define why VB.NET or C# might be better or worse than the other for development?
>>
>>No difference.
>>Everything depend where programmer come from.
>>If you are more familiar with C ->C#, if with VB - VB.Net.
>>If you expect to hire programmers which finish university with less experience ->VB
>
>Thank you for your input. Something interesting about our university students is that they are being taught Java and no microsoft products!
