>>Dude here it is : The market is shrinking. Thus, developer 'mindshare' is decreasing. Thus, Vfp 5 and 6 sold better than VFP 8. So I say 'VFP 8 is not selling well'

I tend to agree with you - in fact, due to that new vfp8 EULA, most of us should now be purchasing "Full" versions and not "upgrade" versions. I know I have followed the new EULA to the letter here, with all vfp8 copies under my jurisdiction (and even notifying others about the EULA outside my budget jurisdiction), which means buying mostly "fulls" now. Certainly this would increase vfp sales revenue, if everyone were honest about the new EULA, whether they actually hate it or just sort of dislike the EULA :-) Either way, it should provide some incentive to get a lot more Fulls sold at double the price. (Plus, it may keep some of us from getting in hot-water with EULAs in audits.)

Also, I just added a related question in another post: how the heck does MS know how many vfp users (as in vfp8 sales) there are when a good chunk of us are getting vfp through MSDN?

I thought that might cause a serious undercount in vfp8 sales, though I really don't have much idea about the exact numbers involved...anyone?
