Sorry, I haven't really learned the programming side of Java yet. I've just been trying to determine if it is feasible to move that way. I'll probably start learning myself pretty soon.

I'd start using what ever langauge or IDE today if I could find one that was as productive as VFP. Each time I research a langauge I quickly discover that it's more work than VFP. I have invested money into Delphi/Kylix only to find I had to write many of the tools myself. The same is true with Python. Now I'm looking at Java (mostly because it runs so much faster now) and I'm hoping I don't have to write all the tools from scratch. Mind you I have to do this while making a living with VFP. What's a simple developer to do?
