I understand, but that doesn't answer my question. In VFP 8.0 you don't have VarChar, but you can still map it to character filed in a remote view. I am hopping even though there is not a native XML data type in VFP 9.0 (Heck even 8.0) that I will be able to get the XML of an XML data type in Yukon into a VFP character or memo data type field.
