Which one of the 35,000 Micorsoft employees told you that and what is their position that they should know? Was ti one of the program managers on the VFP team. I would doubt that because that group never says anything about what will or will not happen. BTW, the program managers are probably the only group at Microsoft that would kow that kind of information becasue they design the product.

I don't believe the valid event is going anywhere and it fits perfectly fine into OOP. It is unique fromt eh LostFocus in that it fires before LostFocus and controls whether or not focus will be lost. The same is true of When and GotFocus.
