Alejandro,

I don't think anybody is being "hard" on Ken here. But, even if people were being critical - it would be justified.

First off - let me say that Ken is a good friend of mine. Whenever I am in Seattle, at least one night is devoted to going out to dinner with "the usual suspects". Any disagreements that exist between Ken and myself are purely professional. And - while much of happens is far beyond the scope of what Ken can control - he has 100% descretion when it comes to posting here.

With that context in mind - Ken cannot come up here and say that Fox will not be able to take full advantage of Yukon and other technologies - and leave it at that. Once the cat is out of the bag - it is incumbent on Ken to clarify the statement. Somebody in Ken's position - before speaking publically - must anticipate the public reaction - and craft his statements accordingly. Based on the timing of his responses - it is clear that such pro-active steps are not being taken. To his credit - Ken is much more candid and communicates with more frequency than his predecessors did. At the same time however - it can lead to a certain amount of FUD.

I agree with you that Ken should not be the target of pointless attacks. Nonetheless - it is perfectly acceptable to "vent" some amount of frustration on him. Let's remember that for some time - MS has in part said it's OK to continue to develop in Fox - your investments are safe. I would dare say that may not be entirely accurate today. At the very least - there is some - perhaps considerable doubt - as to how much Fox will be able to play in the new sandbox. Now....if you can't voice those concerns to Ken - who should people voice them to??????

People want to know just how much Fox will be able to play with the new stuff - and quite frankly - they have a right to know....

>We all know MS is betting the company on .NET being successful. We should focus our requests to Ken and the VFP team in essential improvements, such as the reporter and continued interoperability with new technologies and not vent our frustrations on them, who can do nothing about a lot of our frustrations.
