Hi Tom. You're absolutely right. I think that all these tools have a place and function. What I have seen and experimented with iro .Net is also very interesting. But for what I do (at the moment) VFP is simply awesome. And I think that I am not alone.

I have learnt several lanaguages over the years, to one degree of proficiency or another (i.e. none well :), and VFP is certainly my favourite. But I will always try to apply the best tool for a job even it that means, as is usually the case, outsourcing part of the application.

Then there is always the issue that a great developer with an average dev tool will outperform an average developer with a great dev tool. I think --sb-- would out program all of us using an abacus :)
