>That is a huge bug fix list.

Yeah which isn't necessarly a good sign either.

> I don't see many significant new features

Nothing huge. They were probably to busy working on that bug-list...hehehe

> and I don't see VFP developer deciding that dBase is a better tool to use based on the enhancements since Borland killed dBase (or before).

I wouldn't expect a VFP developer to switch to dBase, but I doubt any of the dBase people have moved to VFP either. If anything they're doing VB or Delphi and SQL Server. (If MS was willing market VFP better they might of been able to get the dBase customers....oooh well)

>It would be interesting to know how many dBase developers attended that conference, and how many active users are out there - but I expect that the number are smaller than you think. Let me know if you find out any details.

Well my guess regarding the attendance at the conference is zero considering none of the sessons even talk about dBase. There are some for their InterBase/JDataStore though. Sounds like Borland is doing with InterBase/JDataStore & dBase like what MS is doing with SQL Server and VFP...(duck)

One thing that Borland does do that makes a lot of sense ... they offer exams at their confernces. Seems like you should be able to goto DevCon and while you're there have a chance to take the VFP cert exam...errr if one exists that is.
