Title:
Time is tight - Immediate time out error 12002
We have aprocess which uploads a package of files and then downloads a similar package of files. The process can take as long as a minute to complete. The data being transfered (POST) via HTTP is compressed but can be somewhat large. The processing time on the server takes 4-5 seconds and the doenloaded data is significantly smaller.
Since converting to VFP8.0 this process no longer works. The upload occurs and then we get a 12002 error and there is no download. Our customers are VERY upset with us and we need to fix this NOW!
We have set the oHttp.nConnectTimeout to 360 to allow up to 6 minutes and it does not wait any more than 3 seconds. We are using wwHttp version 4.40. We have erased all the FXP's , used wconnect.h ver 4.40, made sure the wwipstuff.dll is compatable and finally ripped out ALL of our hair!
Once only grey, but now bald I sit here desparate for a solution. Today I am going to try to use Mabry's HTTP tool. I need to instanciate the tool from code and I will not have a form container. I don't know whether this will work but am open to other suggestions.
Thanks
Glenn
