I don't see many significant new features, and I don't see VFP developer deciding that dBase is a better tool to use based on the enhancements since Borland killed dBase (or before). It would be interesting to know how many dBase developers attended that conference, and how many active users are out there - but I expect that the number are smaller than you think. Let me know if you find out any details.

From my point of view Ashton Tate killed dBase through its business model and dBase IV drove me away from the product! I worked for Ashton Tate for a time in San Jose, and was glad to see Borland take over for many reasons (insert FoxPro law suit here!). However, Borland changed like all things and dBase went in another direction, as did many of us.
