My config:

File server - Windows XP Proffessional SP1, no antivirus software.
It serves only files, users are not working with this.
It is fast computer with 1 GB net connection going to switch 1 GB port.

Two workstations - Windows 2000 Workstations. .dbf files and windows temp directory are excluded from virus scan.

If my VFP 7 application is opened only from one workstation, it works fast.
However, if same application is opened from second W2K workstation,
formas are opening VERY slowly! It seems that file opening in server (USE command) takes a LOT of time in this case.

If I replaced server to W2K workstation, it works fast.

Any idea why file opening from XP Pro is slow ?
