I am experiencing an update conflict error after adding records into a table that is row buffered. The conflict happens when more than one user is ading in records (simultaneously). After a record is entered by a user, it is modified and then saved with buffering still
enabled. This goes fine for the first user, but when the second user tries to save changes, the 1585 update conflict occurs. I understand how to handle this when the users on on the same record, but this error occurs when the users are on different records (the ones that they just added). Does anyone know why this would happen? BTW - just for fun I disabled buffering before the records were added to the table, and re-enabled buffering after the records were written to disk and no error occured. Sure could use some expert help on this one.
