You can do it by code but you still need to data drive the process. Hard coding indexes and things is an old style maintenance nightmare. Get Stonefield Database Toolkit. It's all done for you and Doug is very open for questions. One business object can probably handle it all and when you make data structure or index changes you never have to touch the code.
