FWIW I had that _lc business inflicted on me by a contractor some years ago. It was horrible- instead of being able to list alphabetically to group all variables, objects and tables of the same type, it was all scattered meaninglessly and you had to scan through everything to find a lookup table that had no standard prefix. Horrid.
I can see that you do use CamelCase e.g. lcCamelCaseVariable rather than lccamelcasevariable which does make it easy to follow... convince your director that you're following MS's own recommendation and if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
