The answer to this is kind of a long story.
Right click the grid and select edit. Select your checkbox control and drop it in the column that you want. Now go to your property sheet. Find the textbox control for the column, that you droped the checkbox control into, and select it in your property sheet. Next click the title bar for the form and click the delete button. This should remove the textbox control for the grid's column. Next set the controlsource for the checkbox to your cursor fieldname.

That should do it.
