Hi!
Go with Firebird SQL. SAP, from what I've read in the past, is very big and complicated to mantain.
Firebird SQL is an Interbase clone, is small (3 MB download) easy to install an configure. Also has a 1.4 M DLL with client and server packaged in a single DLL, for local acces (no install or registry settings needed). Also a lot of free drivers and utilities are available.
It is very robust, we have an app that is in use for many months and hadn't even a single problem with the database (even if users like the RESET button).

I've heard of SAPDB and FireBird but I wonder if anybody here in UT have experience with a free RDBMS at developing an app with VFP.
