Absolutely ... FPW 2.6 was the fastest of them all !

After VFP came out, I benchmarked Delphi, C++, VB, dBase, PowerBuilder, Optima ... and VFP consistently came last, no matter how you tweaked it. I started resorting to API calls. The only relief came from new processor upgrades.
