I don't know if there is anything that publically states this. Although, Kerry Neitz's FoxTales book does state the Eric Christesen (sp) the guy that came up with Rushmore at Fox software still works for MS, on the SQL Server product, hmmmm.
There have been rumors that Rushmore was added in some form to both the Jet engine and SQL Server.
Of course, SQL Server is originally based on SyBase which MS used to work on. But, at version 4 I think it was, the code forked and MS SQL Server was born.. I think SQL Server 7.0 was a complete re-write so there is no SyBase code in SQL Server anymore.
