>>Still no explanation for ProgrammersParadise.ca`s mysterious ommission of VFP 8... again i think its simple not enough people wanted it...but they did want VFP 5 and 6. No explanation for the low retail book sales levels for VFP 8 as compared to vfp 6....

if DOS database apps survive... so will VFP applications...

>I don't want to get into a p*ssing match about the future of VFP because I believe it stilll has a looonnnnnggggggg road ahead of it. And that .NET still has a whole lot of growing up to do.

>I thought I'd ask about the "ProgrammersParadise.ca`s mysterious ommission of VFP 8" since the latest catalogue just arrive 20 minutes ago. VFP8 was in there as both full and upgrade. Their June 2003 issue had it on the COVER.
>I don't see any "ommission", but I do see that that catalogue will, for the lesser-pushed products, include them sometimes and leave them out other times.

it wasnt available at ProgrammersParadise.ca for the first 6 months vfp 8 was out ...
i have two customers who had problems purchasing it from ProPara.ca when it first came out.
i had to get it through a different client who had a different kind of licensing agreement with MS...
ProgrammersParadise.ca could not supply it.

did you actually try to order the product in June?

I hope it is available now...

Did you double the sales of `What's New with VFP8` at WBB yet?
