Hi Dave

>I hold in my hands a fantastic 32 page issue of Foxtalk ... June 1996.
>I feel a tear welling up in my right eye as a flip through its pages.

Wow! I thought I was a squirrel but even I don't have copies in my files before 1999 (Of course I had to do a major clear out when we moved from England to USA in 2001 anyway...)

>It is interesting that VFP just doesnt have any top flight talent 'new blood'
>to write articles...
>what a fascinating and and unusual trend....

Hang on, I didn't say 'none' I merely observed that it doesn't seem to be _enough_. Not the same thing at all :)

>It could be that because for the last 7+ years MS does not market VFP outside the community. Thus, it is the old guard doing all the work. Who wants to be part of a product whose manufacturer ignores?
>I wonder if this lack of outside the community marketing has had a negative impact on sales of copies of VFP 8? Or maybe ZERO marketing is a secret new way to increase sales?

Sorry, but now you are getting into waters that I am simply not qualified to answer. Better ask others for answers to those questions.
