We were looking for comparable tools such as the groupbars available for Delphi by Raize. DBI's listbar and toolbar looked promising. We actually purchased DBI's component toolbox lastnight and hope to receive it soon and test it out and implement it (with not too much difficulty).

Our goal is to actually implement on the main screen a divider of sorts. We would have the groupbar on the left taking up approximately 1/5th of the screen and our primary forms would assume the position from the right edge of the groupbar to the remainder of the screen on the right. Sort of like Outlook but not necesarily with icons and the trick will be determining the position of the main forms relative to the right edge of the groupbar. I tested with the treeview and it wasn't flexible enough for everything we would like to do. Ideally, the VFP form would 'dock' to the right edge of the groupbar, but I doubt that is possible. Hopefully DBI's controls will have properties we can check for a right position and either check that property during oure primary forms' init to position the form or save the value to a screen property that we can always check. We'll see! Maybe someone has already done this with DBI's controls?

>>It looks like a framework for our existing application is out of the question, but incorporating separate components into it is not. We are looking at dbi-tech's component toolbox and wondering if anyone has any experience using them and incorporating them into their apps. Is it tricky? Worth the cost? Is it any quicker developing using their tools than in vanilla vfp? Here is the link:
