>I have to say that the reactions were minimal, or even almost zero, and that's not really stimulating. Was the article bad? Do the readers not really read? How many readers are there really? Would the UT Mag have been a better platform?
I'll agree with Andy here. By now, I've published more than 100 pieces (probably closer to 200) about various versions of FoxPro, and had very few emails in direct response. Now and then, I'll get one from someone using my code and having a problem. (Most often, I think, it's the QuickFill combo code I published in 1996.)
Very rarely do I get an email expressing an opinion on a technical article. When I was writing the monthly editorial in FPA, I used to get more mail about that than about technical articles, but still not huge amounts.
My experience has been that most people are afraid of bothering the author. Quite a few express surprise if I respond to their messages.
