I don't know if I would call the Europa feature set totally locked down at this point. It is true that was are fairly set with many of the major new features, but there is always a little wiggle room for minor enhancements. I think this is really what Ken meant. Many of the items you guys are asking us qualify as major features. OTOH, something like an ISARRAY() function would be viewed as something less extravagent (although it does have its own complications). We periodically review the set of open features still remaining to be implemented and reprioritize them based on customer and beta feedback. So there are features that folks will see in the Beta that were not part of our original feature schedule, but got added later on. However, this often means that we had to cut out another planned feature to accommodate this request.

>I know it's difficult for Ken to talk about products which have not been released, however it is difficult to understand how something like Europa has a locked-down feature list when it won't ship for a year.

>Perhaps this is indicative of the quality of programmers working on VFP, or much more likely the fact that they have been told never ever to introduce a feature which would give a buyer more reason to buy VFP than .Net...

>As Ken said in a separate part of this saga, the .Net team are borrowing heavily from the VFP feature set, and as I replied, pity the same isn't true.
