Ken,
Thanks for giving this some attention. There are basically no examples of web applications with COM except for some web services. You have made the statement that FOXISAPI is not the focal point of .vfp. web development anymore and the VFP8 FAQ states that we can develop .VFP. web apps called from ASP.NET/ASP and yet, to my knowledge, there are little to no examples of this in VFP 7/8. Yes, there are some web services examples which is good. But, why the lack of support, knowledge-base articles, etc. For example, it seems no Microsoft technical support answer any web-based questions. Is it because they're not skilled in this (I'm not being sarcastic since this may really be the case)?
I guess it boils down to 1.) do you agree that building web applications with .vfp. is not being focused on any substantial way by your team. and 2.) If yes, then is it because .vfp. developers don't really care about this or is it because you'd rather just have them develop web apps in .NET.
The other issue is: what are the options for developers with thousands of lines of existing VFP code that want to go to .NET short of re-writing everything. Are there any tools to ease the transition? I'm just curious about this - not trying to be overly critical...

>> 3.) Better migration tools for those that want to go 100% .NET

>It would be useful for you to list what specifically you think is needed, not generalizations like this. There are several whitepapers on this on MSDN for VFP, there are samples to download at http://gotdotnet.com/team/vfp, there are many whitepapers on Rick Strahl's web site http://west-wind.com on this (which we would not need to reproduce on MSDN since these are good articles), etc. If you list out exactly what you think is needed, I could get input from others wanting similar materials to help figure out what should be the highest priority items.
