When I moved to 8, I wanted the app to react to VFP default settings. So, in regards to SQL commands, I had to make some adjustments for the enhanced syntax. But, a SET command could have done the same thing. It's just that I wanted to get up to date with the SQL commands I had in the app as well. So, that's pretty much what I had to consider when I upgraded. There are a lot of threads that deal about it.
